The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up

Merry had slept only a little while, but her dreams, or nightmares, were very clear to her. She knew what she had to do and she determined to do it without further delay. She opened the door to her bedroom and listened to the sounds of the house. It was very quiet. She had no idea where anyone was and did not want to run the risk of someone finding her and detaining her. They were running out of time. Whatever had happened to Simon had been her fault from the wedding to the abduction. She knew the Mad Arab would keep striking until they were all destroyed. It was almost dark outside now.

After a quick shower, she rummaged through the closet looking for something appropriate to wear to a murder and chose the black negligee that Mark Andrew had commented on very favorably when she had worn it for him. That had been the first and only time she had worn the thing and now it would be the last. She ripped it from the hanger and put it on. After combing her hair, she perused her looks in the mirror and set about making ready to summon him to her one last time.
